What does courage
taste like to you?

I have tasted courage, and I have tasted fear.
Fear is easier to digest. There is more of it around.

Fear blocks: Us, those we love, our work, our passions.

Courage unblocks: Us, those we love, our work, our passions.

Courage is not the opposite of fear; it is its flip side.
Turn the coin over, and there it is, waiting for you.

I work with individuals and organisations to help flip the coin.

Nick Berry spent 25 years earning his living as a freelance advertising copywriter and creative director; the first decade in B2C, the rest in B2B. This gave him privileged access to scores of agencies and clients, always under pressure.

In his time, Nick has been paid as a warehouseman, building labourer, concrete technician, cook, opera singer, bicycle mechanic, cleaner, bar tender, welder, teacher and van driver.

He holds a B.A. (Hons) in Literature from the University of East Anglia (summa cum laude) and an M.Phil. from the University of Oxford. Passions include home renovation, singing, writing, cooking, and swimming daily in the Baltic, 365.

What philosophy calls ‘the coincidence of opposites’ is the source and inspiration of his consultancy work with individuals and organisations. He is rich in friends.

Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.

Winston Churchill

The destroyer of inner peace is fear. Fear develops frustration, frustration develops anger, anger develops violence.

The Dalai Lama

Wisdom consists in speaking and acting the truth.

Heraclitus

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.

Nelson Mandela

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.
